SIS Swiss International School operates in Italy through its Milan-Basiglio campus, where an immersive bilingual method, native-speaking teachers, and co-teaching combine the Italian curriculum with an international perspective. Structured programmes accompany each stage of learning within a community open to the world.

A recognised school within an international network

SIS Swiss International Schools Italia is a state-recognised private school accredited by MIUR.
At the same time, it belongs to a rapidly expanding international network of bilingual schools.

We are experts in bilingual education from nursery to sixth form, where learning takes place through both Italian and English.
Currently, more than 5,000 students from local and international families attend classes at one of our 20 campuses in Switzerland, Germany, and Brazil.

In September 2024, the first SIS campus in Italy opened near Milan.
SIS Swiss International School is a group of private day schools offering bilingual education from kindergarten through to college. SIS is a company of the Klett Group.

Not only how we operate as a school but especially how and what we teach has an impact on future generations. We are aware that as an educational institution, we hold a double responsibility in society for the matter of sustainability.

Quality policy

SIS Swiss International School guarantees a high level of education and quality standards:

Structures and processes at SIS locations are continuously evaluated and developed.
All SIS schools periodically participate in the international benchmarking test ISA (International Schools’ Assessment).
We regularly review the implementation of the curriculum. This is to ensure that the excellent teaching and learning standards that apply to all SIS schools are met and that our students receive the best possible learning experience.
SIS curricula provide coherent and bilingual educational pathways across different subject areas, combining international best practices with local educational requirements. They ensure alignment between language sections, use clear progress indicators and support differentiated learning, promoting academic excellence and intercultural understanding.
