Programme
The programme of the SIS Milano-Basiglio primary school Open Day
On 24 October, from 10.00 to 12.00, we look forward to seeing you at our Basiglio campus, just minutes from Milan. In two hours you will see how bilingual immersion works in practice, meet our Italian and English native-speaker teachers and tour classrooms, labs and shared spaces. We will show you how the Italian curriculum and the international SIS perspective come together to build independence, critical thinking and curiosity.
Book your place: attendance is free and spaces are limited.

Testimonials
What families say
"Attending the Open Day showed us a truly unique and engaging learning environment. Our son is now excited to go to school!"
"Near Milan we were looking for a school that was truly bilingual, not an Italian school with a few extra English lessons. At the Open Day the difference was obvious: the children moved between languages without thinking about it."
"Our concern was that our daughter, who spoke no English, would struggle to keep up. The teachers explained clearly how the induction works: within a few months she began answering us in English at home, entirely on her own."
"The tour is what convinced us: bright classrooms, well-equipped labs, plenty of outdoor space. And teachers who know each child individually. We went home with our minds made up."
FAQ
Frequently asked questions about the Open Day and admissions
My child does not speak one or both of the school's languages (Italian and English). Can I still enrol them?
Yes. At SIS Swiss International School children learn both Italian and English through our immersive method, even when neither is their mother tongue. Our schools offer Italian and English courses outside lesson hours, or intensive courses during school hours depending on the year group. The cost of these additional language lessons is included in the school fees.
What is the minimum age for enrolment?
Children can be enrolled from the age of six.
Will the school also offer Kindergarten and Secondary levels?
The Milano-Basiglio primary school is the first SIS Swiss International School in Italy, and at this stage we are focusing on this level. Our goal is to extend our offering in Italy to include Kindergarten and Secondary school.
Do I need to book to attend the Open Day?
Yes. Attendance is free, but places are limited: fill in the form on this page and you will receive confirmation by email.
Can I bring my children with me?
Absolutely. The Open Day includes dedicated activities for children, so they can try a bilingual lesson while parents talk with the school leadership and teaching staff.
